Brief History

Institute for Education Development and Quality Assurance Yogyakarta State University (UNY LPPMP) is one part of the main structure in the State University of Yogyakarta. LPPMP UNY established in 2011, based on the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Republic of Indonesia, No. 23 of 2011, on the Organization and Work Procedure of the State University of Yogyakarta, and the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia, No. 34 of 2011, concerning the Statute of the State University of Yogyakarta. LPPMP UNY is a strategic element of developers and implementers in the field of education and professional development as well as quality assurance of education and profession. UNY LPPMP memunyai task to implement, coordinate, monitor and assess the implementation of development and quality assurance of education and professional development.



In line with the implementation of the above tasks, UNY LPPMP memunyai several functions. The functions in question are:



    
Coordinating, planning, improvement, coaching, and development of educational services and the profession,

    
Software development and support resources including educational functions of other supporting resources,

    
Utilization and protection of academic resources for various systems consultancy to support the academic function,

    
Coaching, development, and utilization of a variety of educational thought that comes from research and assessment,

    
Coordinating planning, coaching, development, and utilization of facilities, experts, and other academic resources in accordance with the need to provide education and profession,

    
Planning academic quality,

    
Improved academic quality,

    
Control and audit of academic quality,

    
Monitoring and evaluation of academic quality.

LPPMP has ten centers, namely (i) Center for Quality Assurance, (ii) Center for Curriculum, Instructional and Learning Resources (PKIS), (iii) the Service Center Practice Field Experience and Practice of Field Work (PL-PPL & PKL), (iv) Center Profession Educators, Personnel, and nonkependidikan (P3TKN), (v) Fitness Course universiter (PMKU), (vi) Language Center, (vii) Center for Character Education and Development Culture (P2KPK), (viii) Career Development Centre (PPK ), and (ix) Scientific Periodical Development Center (x) Development Center Laboratory School

As an institution in higher education "must" disseminating research results and ideas of science, in addition to overseeing eight centers, the LPPMP also publishes three kinds of publishing, namely Journal of Horizon Education, Journal of Character Education, and popular science magazines WUNY (News University Yogyakarta State).
